Seven-Week Smoking Cessation Clinic Starts July 6

WHAT: Participants in this seven-week class will learn how to successfully quit smoking by addressing the physical, mental and social aspects of nicotine addiction.

The class will cover:

  • The pros and cons of smoking
  • Personal and health-related reasons to quit
  • The complexity of the smoking habit
  • Plans for quitting based on observed patterns
  • Approaches for dealing with urges to smoke
  • Long-term strategies to stay smoke-free

    WHEN: Tuesdays from 5:30–7:30 p.m. (July 6 – Aug. 17)
    *A special Thursday session is held on July 29*

    COST: A $25 non-refundable registration fee is required for clinic materials. Also required is a $50 check made payable to the “American Lung Association of TN” (to be refunded to participants who complete no less than seven sessions).
